Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles put together a dominate performance in Super Bowl 59 with a 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

During the Eagles second drive (QB) Jalen Hurts seen a matchup on the outside that he liked. Hurts hits (WR) Jahan Dotson with a trigger finger signaling the wide out to go deep. Hurts connects with Dotson for a 27-yard gain going down at the one-yard line.
Over the last few years the NFL has been cracking down on celebrations that involve the visualization of “weapons” of any kind. Last year the league dished out nine violent gesture fines to different players. They even fined the entire Steelers defense $130,000 in 2022 for a machine-gun like celebration. But what’s the difference if a player emulates a “weapon” in a celebration and in an in-game situation? Should there be a fine for use in-game as well?
If they do choose to fine the Eagles QB who knows how much it would cost. It’s an action with different consequences and left up to the league to judge the severity. Some recent infractions range from $4,000 - $14,000.
